ODM is to blame, says Ruto

Kenya’s Deputy President William Ruto has put the blame of unachieved Jubille Agendas on the ODM party led by Raila Odinga. Ruto dates Jubilles woes back to the 2018 handshake which he believes has brought delays on the focus of the Jubilee government’s Agenda.

Ruto has then challenged the ODM leadership, led by Raila Odinga to own the failures of the Jubilee government and stop blaming it on the government. Ruto was speaking in a funeral ceremony in Khwisero, Kakamega county on Friday

They pushed their way into government through the handshake, they took over committees of parliament, they took over the running of government. Three years down the line, because they have failed miserably, they now want to run away from their own failure. They are now trying to say Jubilee has not done this, which Jubilee are you talking about?”

He says their ambitious big four agenda was messed up with the dawn of the handshake. He blames Raila Odinga for diverting the attention of the president to the over-hyped building bridges initiative.

This comes after ODM leader Raila Odinga distanced himself for the failures of the Jobilee government and blamed it on its administration which includes President Uhuru Kenyatta who they have been close and making rounds in the country with.

Raila is not in government, I only agreed to support the president by uniting the country through the handshake and implementing the things we agreed upon but I’m not in government. Those trying to shift the blame should take responsibility because they were elected,”
