Mukuyu market traders are in panic after picking a 15-round ceska pistol in the mud on Wednesday at dawn. Tension rose at the scene and the witnesses decided to reach out to the police to safeguard the gun.

The police arrived on time, confiscated the gun and sort the pistol’s serial number for further investigations. Peter Kamau was amongst the first witnesses to arrive on site and gave the policemen a call almost immeditely.

Mr Kamau told the press that he didn’t pick the gun since it could belong to the wrong hands. Muranga’s OCPD launched investigations on the case and circulated the pistol’s serial number in different stations across Muranga. Meanwhile, the Mukuyu teaders and reaidents have been advised to stay calm and go on with their day-to-day activities since the situation was under conrol.


The inspector however concluded by requesting any resident who could know anything or have information about the gun to step forward and make a statement. This might make the police’s work easier tracing the owner of the Ceska pistol.
